I'm looking for a few options for mounting a 23" (or so) TV into a built-in shelf/cabinet that is open in the back. The shelf opening is 22.75 x 14 of which 21.75 x 13 is open in the front (small amount of trim around the sides and top). I have found a TV virtually the same size of the finished opening and would love to mount it flush at the front of the opening... which would make it appear it was dropped into the opening. I have all kinds of depth in the shelf to use a stand mount and the TV has the standard size bracket for mounting. I just need some type of mounting bracket that will do 90 degrees and is long enough to sit behind the TV (not under it) and hopefully is self-supporting not something I have to permanently attach to the inner shelf (although that's an option).
The TV won't really be used except for a couple of times a month (tops) so I don't want to invest say over 100 bucks or so in the mounting and since the mounting will be completely hidden (except when I open the doors (equipment cabinet) from the rear it doesn't have to be pretty...
