Couple Questions on Setup

I am putting together my setup in a newly purchased home that had a HT 7.1 setup. Please assist me with some questions.

-Room is 22 feet wide by 19 1/2 feet long and is a 7.1 setup 2 floor standing fronts, a center channel and 4 in ceiling surrounds.

1) The previous owner has left the speaker wire in place for all speakers except the front right. He used Monster 16 gauge wire for all the speakers in place. I do not know the lengths as the wires disappear into the cabinetry and an unaccessible attic above. The front right is closest to the amp so would be 6 feet long or so, the front left i would approximate to be 20-30 feet as it needs to travels up and aropund the cabinetry and back down other side thru attic. Is this an issue to have the 2 wires that drastically different in length? Also, should i use the same 16 gauge or can i use 14 gauge wire i currently own?

2) My speakers were bi-wired in my previous home but in this current one the wires are not bi-wired on the ends. In favor of not going thru the hassle of re-wiring everything I plan to no longer Bi-Wire. Problem is I cannot find the jumpers to my Paradigm Studio Fronts and Center. How do i get around this?

Thanks...

You can use short links of speaker wire in place of the jumpers or you can ask Paradigm for replacements.

Connect the posts with wire. The original jumpers don't have any magical properties. wink.gif
