AVS Retro Style

See the Article for adding an AVS Retro style to FF, Chrome and IE that doesn't affect other websites.

Modified AVS Retro Style

Anyone using my AVS Retro Style sheet might want to look at the Modified version I just posted here.

Something changed since I posted the original style sheet because my browsers started showing a bright-blue background... too bright!

I've toned it down with a modified style sheet that uses the Black Skin's background while retaining only the Retro accents from the previous version that enhanced visibility. Also, it now works well when not logged in... site appears in normal AVS Default (white) skin until logged in, where before it used to be obscured.

The old style also could affect other Huddler sites since they might use the exact same CSS style syntax (elements), esp. the blue background. With that background gone, the new style should be pretty "benign" with other sites, even Huddlers'. Since the code has a 2-line intro for Firefox only that limits the style to avsforum.com, Firefox should not affect other sites in any way. Other browsers can't use that intro.

(Make sure you disable the old AVS Retro style if you used that before. See Enable/Disable instructions in the linked Article, above the code.)

I setup and am happily using subject retro. Many, many thanks for all you do in support of AVS forums, especially on the DVD/R (I purchased and installed Maggie 535 in December 2012 to go with already installed 2 ea 2160As).

Thanks for trying, and liking, the new, modified Retro style. I'm really enjoying its "subtle" enhancements!
