For mere $1690 euros it will be one of those "data toy" (presentation).

Be careful with this one, but one of my source told me that the new High end Projector from Mitsubishi will be an sxrd model with 4k resolution (7990 €).

Native 4K? That is an interesting rumor. I hope its true. I'm personally waiting for a JVC native 4K projector.

The only info that I got from Optoma is that their home cinema full hd Led/laser projector will be available only in 2013.

HC sounds like a Mits projector, not Panasonic. Panasonic is not listed as having a booth at CEDIA this year (no word yet if they are planing something offsite at a nearby hotel). Does IFA have a web site listing all exhibitors?

Their HC9000 used three 1080p SXRD and my guess is they are the Sony SXRD panels so I wonder if they are coming out with a three panel SXRD machines using the Sony 4K SXRD panels. Its all just rumors but Mits is blowing out its 1080p SXRD machine, a fantastic buy at the new street price. And the rumors that the new 4K machine will MSRP at about $10K to 12K would be consistent with it being 4K. It would be hard to explain Mits coming out with a 1080p machine at that price to replace its existing one. Cedia is only about 5 1/2 weeks away.

Exactly the CEDIA is very close, and also too close to IFA, this is why JVC won't show us the new line of products in Berlin, and maybe it's also the reason Mitsubishi won't be in Germany.
That, having it ready, and the costs of exhibiting at a show. All just speculation as to why companies skip shows.

For JVC this is their official explication that I got today. For Mitsubishi it's only spéculation.

Well that's news to me - good to hear someone is finally coming out with a HT pj with this technology.

Sim2 M.150 looks impressive, too bad isn't 4K too.

Cost is the biggest. A lot of these shows are in a loop, so to speak. Less and less companies are paying for the booth space with the economy, or going much smaller, so the rates are tending to go up for the space, and then back to less companies, etc...

The days of giant "wow" booths are nearly gone. And honestly, they are impressive for the first timers (I admit I was years ago), but after a bit people head for what they want to see and rest is just "noise".

So is Sony doing a revision of the VPL-VW95?

No, only there will be only one new Sony projector, this year at IFA.
Or elsewhere in consumer HT land. The HWXXES which will replace the HW30AES. Don't know the US numbers yet so left it XX

LOL, I can never get over how big the Crestron booth is at Cedia every year. I guess it shows just how much money Crestron makes.

The new small mitsubishi projector at 3000€ will be based on SXRD pannels and not DLP chip.

Is Panasonic a "his" or a "her. I think overseas as in North America Panasonic would be an "it".

The 3X DD model is most definitely a her.
So is it he will have a new her or it will have a new her. To me I think he should be a she also because of certain err female tendancies.
