Live in an Apartment, Need Help with Sub

Low Frequency sounds will go through concrete. But apartment buildings that high have very thick concrete so you should be able to get something that isn't completely weak. But a sound system for 59 bucks doesn't really need an amazing subwoofer.

This has been asked many times. Like mentioned above, low frequency travels in all directions. Unless you sound proof every inch of your apt. there is no easy way other than turning down the volume. Things like gramma or subdude will not solve the problem. They just prevent the vibrations from going to the floor. The neighbors will still be bothered by bass and you will be out some 50 bucks.

People living in a glass building should not throw stones. Similarly people living in an apt. should not use a subwoofer :-)

A headphone like Audio-Technica ATH M50 for some $150 will give a much better sound quality than those speakers/sub.

I cannot believe that a single 5.25" "subwoofer" could be of much concern.  How much air can that tiny driver move?

Really. I don't suspect his neighbors are being bothered by the output of that sub. I wouldn't be too worried about it, to be honest.

Wow, I honestly didn't realize that set up was a 2.1 with a subwoofer. That thing is tiny. If you neighbors get bothered by that, then you live next to Nazis, lol

Unfortunately, if your neighbors are already complaining, quality headphones are the only answer. Other than moving to a "detached" home in the suburbs, that is.
