Question regarding D-Nice 65VT30 Custom Settings

Thread Starter
I had my set for 6 months now and love it. I did the panel prep and dialed in his settings back in January but just wanted to know that if I raise the contrast from 72 that he posted to about 82 to give it a bit more brightness/pop and not change anything else would that harm the intended outcome of the settings.

I do not remember if he was the one who posted once that raising contrast only to a certain amount would not harm the pq at all but cannot remember exactly if it was him

Thank You to anybody who can answer

The best way to recreate his PQ outcome is to recreate his entire process (100 hours of slides before doing any watching, then input his settings exactly). If you deviate from his settings, you will change overall PQ. If you tweak his settings and like them better, that's great, but then they are not his settings. PQ can be very subjective. It's not a matter of causing "harm." You can change the settings for more "pop" because you prefer it that way. Others may not like it that way since they may find it less accurate or more artificial. All that matters is that you like the PQ that you are watching. Yes, many here start with his settings and then tweak them to their own liking. I just use his settings as is (although I did not do the recommended slide prep).
