I am having trouble using ARC on my new Samsung UN55ES8000FXZA to send audio signals from the TV to a Marantz NR1403 receiver. I am using the HDMI2 (ARC) input.
A Samsung tech on Samsung's Live Chat said that ARC requires turning Anynet+ On but that it would not work with components that are not Samsung. That can't be correct can it?
I tried turning Anynet+ On anyway, but when I try to turn Receiver On I get a dialogue box that says "This function isn't available." Is it possible that the tech was correct? That makes little sense to me. Is it possible that my Tartan 28 AWG HDMI cable that i purchased through Blue Jean cable can not support ARC?
