We live in GB and we're starting to investigate OTA reception considering the price we pay versus time spent watching. (still have a low-end month-to-month Dish sub ATM)
Checked out tvfool and antennaweb for reception strengths and antennas/placement.--btw thanks for the advice, great forum here, helpful and full of links & resources.
-Ended up with an inexpensive Monoprice indoor model (about $15) to test the waters with and after five minutes of fooling with placement, getting KSBY, KCOY, Fox (KKFX I guess?), CW all with approx 75% signal strength.
Will report back with signal reliability and other related issues, but looks like we can get some local OTA and cut the dish sub, saving almost a thousand a year.
So far so good.
