Wow thanks for the tips Rush, will def hit one of the three cheesesteak spots you listed and grab an ice cream by the fountain. Seems like the perfect two hour tour.

Around here I usually go onions, mushrooms, greenpeppers and mayo. I'm sure the mayo is frowned upon. I'll prolly just order it stock however their standard is.

Jim's is probably the closest thing to what I am used to, so that is why I prefer Jim's when in town. However I have never heard of the Franklin Fountain? That sounds pretty good, I mean just what I need tying to shed some weight, a Pumpkin sundae, but man I want one!!

I do agree that generally some of my favorite places are outside the city ! Man, that Franklin fountain sounds great......eek.gif

BTW we lost the CHT 18.2 in the lineup but sounds like we may have gained an LMS5400/LG Clone combo. biggrin.gif

Lol... I'm vaguely familar with the politics behind losing the 18.2... Looking forward to the details...

Would like to add an *. The FP14K is faulty. Clipping early.

Depending on how your subs are wired, we could also try them with my Crown XLS5000? Have you tried running them both off one channel on the clone?

Also - as far as sub placement - For starters we can likely run the single subs mid wall in my room, behind the center and the anything duals would be one in each corner. Obviously we can play around with that some on Friday night to really get a feel for the room. My caps seem to respond a bit better moved out from the wall several inches.

Each sub is wired to 4ohm. If we can accomodate, I'd love to test the LMS on various amps.

I'm sure my amp is by no means a match for the LG clone, but at 1800/channel @ 4 ohms it would probably sound pretty good. biggrin.gif I can't say how low my amp will extend, but with my caps and a 14hz filter it's damn flat down to that point.

Cool. The iNuke is rated at something like 2100 watts @ 4ohm, so it would be cool to do a A/B comparison if we have time.

Have you had a chance to find a local place to look at repairing your clone? I'd think that with that in working order there won't be anything else you could buy that would touch it in terms of performance. That thing is a monster! The inuke6000 is a nice amp too, but still probably 1/2 the current of the clone. biggrin.gif

Tried. They won't touch it. Have a source I will be sending it to on the west coast (after the meet).

Agreed. It's a monster. Compares nicely to the FP10KQ at a similar price point. You are right though, 4,400 watts at 4ohm stereo is basically untoucable at that price point.

I'm going to do what I need to do to get it repaired. However, I feel I need the iNuke to give me a reference point to compare the performance of the Clone.

That 18.2 can use any amp Craig Chase wants us to use. The Crown XLS-5000 ought to put enough power to it that there wouldn't be any concern right? The meet is right in CC's backyard? He isn't willing to send a loyal owner or a sample to the meet? Some other ID vendors have offered to send their wares to different g2g's over the years for smaller events. Seaton graciously shipped a couple of Submersives to my 2012 blind G2G without even being sure he could be there himself. That is a sure example of confidence in one's product.

Have you guys confirmed the play list?

If not I'd like to make a request.

"TLC, No Scrubs..."

Anyway the confirmed playlist can be identified on the first post as well?

Underworld: Awakening
46:30-48:45 - There are a few parts during this time frame that have very deep bass, especially the footsteps from the huge Lycan.

Lord Of The Ring; Fellowship Of The Ring
3:50-4:35 - This part is where the ring is cut off Sauron's hand, and then picked up the kings son.
2:03:00-2:03:40 - The ominous subterranean bass that foreshadows the Balrog's appearance.
2:07:00-2:07:25 - Where the Balrog jumps out of the cavern and starts to chase The Fellowship.

There are several variations of the LOTR; FOTR blu-ray, so the time frames may not be 100% accurate. They should be close though.

I'm not sure why the 18.2 isn't going to be there, but Andrews house is nowhere near Craigs. He lives closer to Lake Erie, which is just about the exact opposite side of PA from Andrew. I'd surely like to know what it's not at the GTG though. Perhaps Andrew will enlighten us on the 20th? tongue.gif

Yes, once rush2049 has finalized the list I will link it in the first post. LOL @ TLC. Why not NKOTB though?

As stated above, the sub wasn't from Craig, it was from a member (sbdman) on here who unfortunately can no longer make the meet. And Erie is about a 7 hour drive from my place. eek.gif

Thanks Rush! The list looks good. I agree we will have to see what our duration of movie clips looks like. With our lineup we will likely have to limit auditioning time to 15-20 minutes per sub total.

OK - It looks like we have 9-10 different CONFIRMED sub setups. Since we already have a heck of a lineup and one of my amps went bad,I'm going to pull my empires out of the main demo area and leave them upstairs. They will be available for demo'ing though with the main speaker setups though if you want to listen.

JTR Captivator Passive Pair / Crown XLS5000
Seaton submersive hp / Seaton submersive F2
2x LMS5400 / LG clone and/or iNuke6000 amp
Dual PSA XV15's
Rythmik Fv15hp
Rythmik E15
Definitive Supercube Reference
Hsu ULS-15
PSA XS-15
SVS 20-32Pci

Possibles -
Outlaw EX - not sure if reefdvr wants to bring this to audition/possible sale the group. I know space is going to be a problem in the car with dual XV15s in there already. tongue.gif
Dual custom MFW-15s - need to confirm with shifler123 that he is bringing these
raehza - Hsu VTF15H - haven't heard from him yet as far as a confirmation

In the interest of time, we will likely have to audition some of the speaker setups in parallel with the subwoofers. I have a feeling some will need a break from listening to those sub clips so many times anyway. tongue.gif

Main speaker setup
Seaton Catylst 8C main stage (LCR) / Definitive BPX surrounds

Upstairs - paired with my Epik Empire / Yamaha Receiver / Acurus A200x3 amp
KRK powered monitors
Arx A5 towers
I also have my stuff available if anyone would like to listen including Various Definitive Towers - BP30, BP2002, BP7002, Magnepan MMG, as well as the CHT SHO-10s

Here is the living room area:

Cool. I'm interested in hearing the Reference as well. I used to have a DT Trinity earlier in the year so I'd imagine they would sound pretty similar? I've updated the confirmed list above. cool.gif

oh man so many things i want to hear. really looking foreward to being ale to listen to the Cats, as well as the SHO-10s and the ARX A5s both of which are making a shorter and shorter list of things i might purchase. Id def like to hear the MMGs as well, I have expirence with a much older pair of maggies (1.2s? i think) that my dad has has since the late 80s that started to delam a few years ago

sub list looks great as well. Glad the dual XV15s are gonna make it, lots of people excited on various forums about them.

Pretty much a 1/2 Trinity (in theory) from what I understand.

I'll have to defer to your judgement on that one. I'd just like to see how it stacks up against the competition in general, especially against the empire. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that it's going to have the worst $/performance ratio of the group...lol.

Ahhhhh to be young and naive...
