A Boston butt / pork shoulder really is a forgiving piece of meat. Go low and slow, cook to temp (def use a meat thermometer), and it'll be great. It's perfect for gatherings as folks can just make a quick sandwich whenever, I'm thinking about doing egrets chilli again for the big game.
