Help with toning down a tweeter and porting speakers I built

I just finished building a pair of speakers in this thread. The tweeter is much more sensitive than the woofers which I was expecting but I need to tone them down quite a bit. I was thinking about adding a 3.5-4 ohm resistor to the tweeter but if I did that wouldn't that affect the crossover? Is there any way to add the resistor to the crossover without having to redesign the crossover? I'd rather not use an L-pad either. I also need help porting the speakers. I didn't even think about running them ported when I was building them but having listened to them I feel they would benefit from being ported. They're roughly 9.75 liters and I was thinking about tuning them to around 60hz so a port around 1.75x4 would work well wouldn't it? Thanks for any help.

I use one of those in my car and I love it but that's not really what I'm looking for.

The only way to change the sensitivity of a speaker without having to redesign the crossover is an L-pad. If you were to just add a resistor in series with the tweeter, the crossover will behave differently.

1: Insert L pad
2: Adjust until satisfied
3: Remove L Pad and measure the two resistances
4: Substitute in 2 fixed value resistors the same as you measured from the L pad for the final setting.
