Has anyone tried this player with TV recordings (.ts) over a local network? In the manual it shows "Skip Forward" and "Skip Backward" buttons on the remote control but there seems to be no explanation about them. I hope you can configure these to jump forward and backward a different small amount (like 30s forward and 10s back)?
All my .ts files I've tried so far have played fine. They're OTA and cable captures mostly. As .ts have no chapter info., you can only fast forward and fast reverse. Pressing the skip forward and skip back will take you to the next or previous files in the folder. Also, there is a go-to feature that lets you jump to any point (time) in the content.
Also, if you have a recording directory as a "Favorite" do you have to scan it each time to pick up new recordings or can you just browse and play files like a normal network drive?
Yes, if you want the jukebox to pick them up. No, if just browsing, they appear right away.
Finally, if you start watching a recording while it is in progress, will the total time/length of the video increase or are you stuck with the length when you started watching?
Never tried this, so don't know.
