Hey all,

Saw this today when looking for prices for the Mitsubishi HC9000D. Is this a good deal?
Trying to decide between this and the Epson 5010

This is a much nicer high-end projector than the 5010 if you don't care about 3D. If you want good bright 3D go with 5010.

considering i paid $2k more than that for mine, i'd say that's likely a good deal...

without falling into the trap of "buy what i have" (nods to mark h. tongue.gif ), i'm happy with mine...

can't comment much on the 3d, as i haven't used other pj's with 3d, but from what i've read from "people i trust", there are better options than the mitsu for that... i'm reasonably happy with the 3d on mine, but i don't use it a lot (i did when i first got it, the novelty factor was HUGE)... if i really cared a lot about 3d, i'd likely go the dual projector route... seems like that is the way that produces the most satisfactory results...

one man's (decidedly amateur) opinion... smile.gif

Since the 3D content out there is pretty low right now as far as movies go, it would not be a deciding factor, just want to be able to watch a few 3D movies every now and again.
If you take the 3D out of the equation, does that Mits beat out the Epson?
