2 zone amp

My existing (inherited) amp has given up and needs replacing.

I have two pairs of speakers, one in teh kitchen and one in the garden. Both are wired back to a kitchen cupboard.

I'd like to buy an amp that I can hook uo to an Airport Express so I can control my music from an iPad.

My guess is that I'll have to select zone at the amp itself, which is fine.

Could anyone advise on a suitable 2 zone (4 speaker) amp (UK/230V) at the lower end of the market (functional rather than hi-end)?

Any Denon 7.1 AVR will feature Zone 2 capability that you need. Check the used or refurb market for XX11 and XX12 models from last year and earlier to help minimize cost.

One can also go with a two zone stereo Amp such as an Onkyo TX-8255.

You mentioned "(UK/230V)." I don't know who makes which products that are specific to 230v. Also I don't know if you're in the U.S. or the U.K. as to where and what's available if in the U.K..

Many thanks for the advice. Just ordered up the TX-8255. Happily there is a 230V version available in the UK
