How to return from Wirns to "mothership" ReplayTV servers

Thread Starter
I need to do this, at least temporarily, to download IR Blaster codes for Comcast digital cable boxes. Comcast will soon, they say, discontinue their analog service and all channels will be digital, and require a digital cable adapter for each receiver (ReplayTV). I've tried changing the Zip code for force a provider download, but with Wirns no providers appear in the list. So my next step is to reconfigure back to the ReplayTV servers. I think I need the IP address of those servers, maybe subnet and gateway address. I called ReplayTV, but they say they can't provide them.

Simply remove the manual DNS entries from network config and power cycle.

BTW, if the mothership doesn't have the IR codes you need, I suggest you poll the LaHo server and see if we have it there.

You can use LaHo's "Goodwill" program to get IR updates and clock setting w/o creating an account. See HERE for more info.

Basically you just point your DNS at the LaHo servers (see http://www.percdata.com/faq/replaytv for info) without creating a PercData account. One poll and you should have your codes and can set your DNS back.

BTW, I was corrected via email...

To go back to the mothership you either need to put your local LAN DNS in the DNS field or turn DHCP back on.
