Any one have any modding plans for their HMZ-T1? I've seen a few floating around and I'm sure people have lots of ideas!
For instance, has anyone tried splicing/modding their HMZ-T1 with a paintball Mask/Helm.
Some of them offer quite a bit of space between the eyes and the visor. It may be possible to fit a stripped down version of the unit in there (maybe not?).
There are a lot of masks for under $140.
It would be awesome if someone could integrate it into a mask like this:
(*Sigh*) Alas this is probably impossible...would be cool tho
Also (more a tech suggestion than a mod)...Is it not possible to transport images via optic cables? If so, couldn't the screens, pcb and power supplies all be located away from the face (maybe even away from the head) and piped to the eyes via optic cables? Then all that would have to sit infront of the eyes is a lens array and the optic cables that carry the image from the remote displays.... (dont laugh...I'm only a software engineer not an electrical engineer
