Both mine and my brother's were without issue. Port tube coming loose is easily fixed in any case, and by far that's the most common problem. The double boxing helps but freight handlers aren't always gentle. Probably a reason some subs are shipped on their own pallet (to hep avoid turning it upside down or on it's side, etc.)

I've been debating whether to get this or go DIY for the past 6 months, but at $290 it's hard to beat. I just ordered one as well, hopefully there isn't a problem with the port. Thanks for all the info on fixing it if needed!

Mine arrived today from Newegg ... port tube detached and had to be pulled back into place frown.gif Not sure if that is what others are referring to as "loose", mine was just floating around inside attached to nothing. I didn't apply any glue or anything, just pulled back into place -- we'll see how that goes. Otherwise, its a good-looking sub and sounded really good for the 10 minutes I played with it. Will have to dial it in and put it through its paces later when the family isn't sleeping smile.gif Seems like it will be a good buy at $299 ... and I guess I was just in time, because I see its 349 at Newegg now.

Mine arrive with port tube loose as well just pull it back into place and holding good so far. Besides that sub sounds and looks amazing.

Ordered two from newegg. Both arrived with no issues. Ports were not loose.

Subs sounds good, and are a great value for a dual sub setup.

Just ordered 2 of these from Newegg, so will see how they sound. Already prepared to have to fix the port issue which is not a big deal to me since from reading this entire thread it seems like these are a great value.

Currently have just two towers (Cerwin Vega XLS-215) and a center (Cerwin Vega XLS-6C) and was not at all happy with the bass output by the towers. Have them hooked up to a Pioneer VSX-1122-K but from what I understand with the whole crossover the lower frequencies were just not being pushed to the 2 15's in each tower. My brother brought over his Cerwin Vega XLS-15S today and adding a real woofer made a huge difference but I'm sure all of you already knew it would.

Contemplated getting an amplifier to power just the woofers in the towers but decided to go with 2 of these. May stil get an amplifier in the future though I highly doubt I'll need it.

Currently losing an eBay auction for one...If it gets up around 240 or higher ill buy the fatwallet or newegg.

Newegg has a $70 promo code off of the $349.99 list price. For the $40 difference I had to go with the new(?) one from newegg, port issues aside I'll get the 2 year warranty.

Edit again...
Anyone else have issues with Newegg canceling orders due to card info mismatch? I called my card issuer to verify my info and it is all correct. NewEgg has all matching info but my original order was canceled. I reordered...we'll see how it works out.

I have an 11 yr old HSU Research VTF-2 Mark 1 and am considering a sub for another system currently without a sub. I'm pleased with the HSU ... would it be safe to assume this would be comparable or better for music and HT? I know it goes a little lower than the HSU and between the information in the 'shootout' link earlier in this thread and all the positive feedback I think I would be happy with it also, but I would appreciate additional input and feedback on a comparison.

The last sale ended 4/8 so there aren't any codes for discount at the moment (and will be on the newegg product page for the sub)...just keep checking, it usually only takes a coupla weeks before the next sale.

I received my Klipsch RW-12D sub from Newegg yesterday. The inner and outer boxes both looked great when UPS dropped it off. After unpacking I found that the port tube was intact but the grille cover was broken. Other than that the sub is great and I don't really want to send back the entire thing for a broken grille.

I would greatly appreciate it if those of you who had broken grilles and got Klipsch to replace them (or Newegg to give you credit for the grille without having to RMA the entire sub) would send me PM's and share the emails/"magic words" you used with Klipsch and/or Newegg customer support to get replacements/credits.

I won't mention anyone specifically when talking to support or customer service. I just want to phrase my request similar to those of you who had success so that I can increase my chances of getting a similar result.

If it comes down to it I'l fix the thing myself, but I wanted to try and get a replacement/credit if I can.

No real magic to it. Just call Klipsch and ask for one straight up - no games. I told them I just ordered one and it was working great sans the broken grille, forwarded them my invoice and that was it. Got a new one which fits like a glove. Their customer service is much better to deal with than a lot of other companies i've called in the past. For this reason, if I could justify running duals, i'd rapidly snap another one up.

I sent an email to Klipsch.I didn't even have to send invoice.The new grill arrived broken because UPS crushed the box..Emailed them again,and they sent another new one.

I emailed Klipsch Friday afternoon (I just didn't post an update here... sorry). I have not yet received a response. I'll give them at least today and try and call as a followup tomorrow.

In your cases, how long did it take to get a response from support@klipsch.com?

I went through this same process. I emailed Klipsch a copy of my invoice and told them the grill was broken. They contacted me within 24 hours but it probably took 2 weeks to actually get the new grill in my hands. They were very nice but had some sort of shipping issue.
