Klipsch RW-12d Subwoofer - Only $299 - Save 70% - Page 3

No one is saying this is in the same league as your pair of Hsu's.
For the price of those two you could buy what 7 of the Klipsch...
What we ARE saying is that for $300 the price/ performance ratio can not be beat...

I received mine yesterday and hooked it up last night. Definitely packs a nice punch and is a great replacement for the JBL that went out on me that was like 10 years old. That one was $400 back then when I got it.

I was playing some Halo 4 last night and the bass added some really nice depth to the sound, especially in gun shots where I could feel it in my chest with the subwoofer.

For $300 I'm definitely happy with the purchase.

Its a good bet it will be 279-299 by this weekend... Next week worse case, this is one sub thats always going on sale, just wait and save big..

So I got mine in (from newegg) and it seems to be working fine, but arrived with a front grill damaged from shipment. The top two "plugs" that go into the sub broke off while attached. I'm pretty surprised because both the box packaging and outer box newegg extra packaging seemed secure, but it happened.

While the grill still stays on with just the lower two plug, the top rattles against the sub while in use, so this just isn't acceptable. I contacted newegg and asked if I could get a replacement grill and they're gonna check and get back to me. Otherwise I was going to contact Klipsch. Does anyone have any experience with Klipsch on these kinds of things? I'd rather not ship the entire thing back if at all possible to get a full replacement or refund when the sub itself seems to be working fine.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to give Klipsch a call. They'd likely send you a new grill once you've explained the situation.

Called Klipsch this morning, they referred me to e-mail. Support is closed now, I certainly hope I hear back tomorrow.

Haven't heard from them today, looks like the e-mail was likely ignored and I'll have to call again tomorrow.

any word on your epik legend compared to these?

This sub is up for $299 again at Newegg. Just ordered!

Just ordered myself one of these bad boys from newegg at $300

Btw which ir sensor works with this sub and where can I find one?

It shows in the main listing as $499, but if you click to go to the actual product page here it shows $299.

It has a sensor. Do you mean "remote"? You can program a Harmony for it:

Add device -> amplifier -> amplifier -> Klipsch -> RW-12D

Ok from you are saying it is already remote capable, I just need to have a programmed remote to send the signal to it. No other hardware need.

Exactly. Think of it like if you bought a TV and they did not give you the remote.

I just added the device to my Harmony One remote and it was listed in the Harmony database exactly as LastButNotLeast showed.

That makes sense. I wonder if they have codes for direct tv remotes?

Congrats to those who got one in the nick of time.

I missed out and am in the market for 1 sub.... Just don't know much about them! Have a big open room (20x20x10) and only prewired for one sub in the front left of the room.

My family room is 18x14 with 9 ft ceilings. It's open to the kitchen adding another 16 ft to the 18. There's a small doorway without a door to a hallway open to the foyer and also to the dining room.

How much of this Needs to be considered for the klipsch to work?
