For $279 that's a very good deal, and I think you'll be quite pleased. It's not dimunitive -- so I hope you have the space for it smile.gif -- but it's certainly worth more then you paid.

Yes. Apparently Newegg somehow scooped up a bunch of them after they went out of production.

Grill fix update: Newegg got back to me after a couple days with word that they didn't have any replacement grills. They offered either a full return (which I could've used regardless) or a partial credit to buy it elsewhere. Since a return wouldn't help anyone, I was satisfied with that, took the credit and ordered a new grill here: http://www.partstore.com/Part/Klipsch+Audio+Technologies/Klipsch/RW12D/Klipsch+Audio+Technologies/Klipsch/103091/New.aspx

Now today (9 days later!) Klipsch e-mailed me informing me that they're shipping a grill out. I'm happy that they got back to me but that turnaround time is incredible. Maybe it was an extra-long extended Thanksgiving vacation? idk. I guess I could just hold onto an extra grill in case something happens...

But at least Newegg seems to try their best to care of you, and Klipsch stepped up eventually, even though I'd long given up on them by now.

The holiday and the weekend probably slowed things. My UPS 3 day select will be 6 days if I get my sub tomorrow.

I bought one of these 2 months ago and love it so much,my friend want to get another one.

If u call them their support is pretty good

Be patient, it will be back. I'm probably going to pick up a second one when it does.

They don't have a ETA any longer. Maybe UPS is supposed to deliver them. That means you just don't know for sure.

I got mine delivered this moring. All I can say is for $300 this is well worth the money.

Anyone know if you can put this sub on its side ? Or does it have to be straight up

I don't see why not. I've done it with other subs.

It's a good thing they are double boxing these subs. Mine had a hole through both boxes but luckily no damage to the sub.
newegg has a new ETA: 12/04/2012

499 in stock now

Where do they keep getting them from ? I would only guess that there is a warehouse full of them and that newegg did not buy them all, well its all good news for those who want a sub 300 sub with bang..
Like history the price will be 279-299, you just need to wait, with this unit it shouldn't be long, 2 weeks tops...

For those of you waiting for the price drop, just sign up at Newegg for the price drop notification and they will email you right away. I setup a price drop notice at $300, and at 2 A.M. the day they went back to $299, I got an email, then ordered first thing in the morning.

Yes, I set up a price alert yesterday and just got an e-mail a few minutes ago (4:00am) and ordered two at $299.
Saw this deal and grabbed one myself.....hope i wont be disappointed, looks like a great deal!

And, much to no one's surprise, sold out again.

This must have happened in the last hour or so....
I was staring at this sub for the past couple of days, at the $499 price. Then it dropped to $299 today and I was hemming and hawing, finally added to cart and......it was sold out. mad.gif

edit: Meant to add, it was a toss up between the Klipsch and the Polk 505 (for $189). Hmmm

Glad I pulled the trigger this morning on this bad boy!!

This is a great suggestion for those who missed it.

And the "two" isn't a bad idea, either. wink.gif

Glad you got your grill (2x) . . . But I go grilless . . . When I rock the sub between a pair of La Scalas the sub grill rattles . . . So, I take it off and the problem is solved. For high volume thump, you might want to take the grill of,anyway. I just use the grill for a dust cover between listening sessions.

3 new reviews on Newegg in the last couple of days indicating the subs were received damaged or with the port loose inside, Little nervous since I have one in route. I hope these are a few isolated incidents.

Update: I had somehow inadvertently clicked on the 1 star reviews and was reading those about damage. It looks like some of the earlier issues led to the current packaging methods that newegg is currently using. I am feeling much better. I am anxiously awaiting the fed ex truck tomorrow for delivery.
