The Master List of BASS in Music and MORE with Frequency Charts

Thread Starter

This is a work in progress so I will make little changes here and there. I have been visiting Avsforum for a long time now and almost everyday! Unless I die, the thread won't die. Seeing how music doesn't have much deep bass I should be able to maintain this list easily. I have a few more albums to go through but I still need help with finding more stuff. Around 30hz content is fine, lower the better. Anything but Movies are allowed so Music Videos and Fan made content like Danleys Firework capture is ok.

I have setup the list by Artist, Album, and Timestamp. Songs with 00:00:00 is the intro. Some items you can click which will re-direct you to the Album, Waterfall, or even Youtube.

Scott-

Have you heard Bass Outlaws/Illegal Bass and if so, how does it compare to the tracks you listed above?

Are there any songs that are over an hour? 00:00 should be sufficient. wink.gif

Dallas Wind Symphony: The Vikings 00:12-00:22

Linkin Park, Reanimation DVD-AUDIO, One Step Closer.

If you have the system for this, crank it and watch the walls come down...

Kid Kudi: Day N Night (Widdler's Dubstep Remix) 2:21-2:31

This effect is pretty cool and requires a smooth in-room frequency response.

Yep, you're right. It's 'Hoods Run Down'.

Question for you guys...

Has anybody compared graphs taken from an actual CD (or loseless rip) with streaming/download services like iTunes/Spotify/YouTube?

I'm a Spotify subscriber and I would like to listen to some of the tracks listed in this thread to give my soon-to-be-arriving system a serious workout, but I wonder if I listen to compressed tracks streaming from Spotify if I'll get the same experience?

I just don't know enough about it and was hoping somebody could shed some light.

I'm bumping this thread biggrin.gif I don't have a frequency chart, but some songs I've re-discovered since I put together my new set up with two subs and PSB's are:

Bjork: All is full of Love
Air: Electronic Performers ( or anything from 10000hz Legend)
Portishead: Machine Gun ( or anything from their album Dummy)
Massive Attack: Anything smile.gif

I like your taste in music wink.gifsmile.gif

If you've not already got it, pick up Bjork's Biophilia album. Make sure you turn it up right from the opening wink.gifbiggrin.gif

Just finished watching Lincoln. While not a bass movie by any means, it's a movie that anyone who has a home theater or viewing room should see. This movie focuses squarely on your center channel. My RC-62ii pulled it off flawlessly. Excellent movie.

In other words, it is mostly dialogue! I fell asleep to this in a state of the art 3d theater on a Disney ship.

I admit, I almost fell asleep once but it picked up at the end.

I also snoozed during this movie after my wife and drove an hour to see it.
Wow, you drove an hour to see Lincoln? I wouldn't do that except for something I was really looking forward to, like Man of Steel that's coming up in 2 weeks.

Just found out about this list from the movies thread. Good idea. But has it been abandoned?
Heres a big one from Yheti called bear trap. A seriously awesome 13hz boom at 30 seconds.
