YHT-395 or Onkyo S5400

Due to budget (less than $400) and looking at Amazon prices, I am trying to decide between these two systems, they are about the same (shipped) price.

YHT-395
Onkyo S5400

Is any one significantly better than the other one when it comes to sound?

For an extra 50 bucks I could also get:

YHT-595
Onkyo S5500

Same question for these two? And also, are they worth the extra $50?

Appreciate any feedback!

Thanks

Well, I just went ahead and ordered a Denon 1612 for $219 (Crutchfield)

Anyone knows if the Polk RM6750 speaker set would work well with this receiver? Or can anyone recommend a better set in the same price range (~$200)

FWIW, I've had the Yamaha YHT-395 for over a year now and have been very satisfied with it. The speakers are ok for what they are so you may want to plan on upgrading them down the road (I am) but the sound is very sharp and clear. It doesn't have the mic calibration but setting up the speakers and balancing the sound just takes a little time to do and no matter where we sit on the couch, the sound is still balanced and even. Plays very nicely the tv, BD player, and the AppleTV2.

oops, I see you posted while I was writing my response. The Polk RM6750 is what I've been looking at to upgrade my speakers. BTW, the receiver on the Yamaha system is the RX-V371. I don't know why the Polks wouldn't work well with the Denon so you should be ok.
