I'm looking to make a short film and I want to show it at a local theater. Would filming with a 1080 camcorder look ok?

taz - 2K (2048x1080) is generally considered to be the minimum resolution for theatrical projection (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_cinema). That said, if you have a good codec, are very very careful with lighting, shot selection, camera/subject motion and rendering, you can get 1080p (1920x1080) resolution to look decent when projected. Of course, if the audience cares enough about the people and the story on the screen, none of this technical stuff matters smile.gif

Cheers and good luck with your project,

Bill
