Receiver recomendations for JBL S312II's

Thread Starter
I got the speakers YEARS ago for like $200 at best buy and love 'em. I wanted to pick up the s-center and S26's to build a 5.1 system (or possibly 7.1) and am looking for a receiver to power these. The S312's are power hungry (250 watt RMS) so the closer to that output the better. I'm most concerned with sound quality and HDMI switching and pass-though. Aside from that I don't really care about extra features. An old model I could pick up used or on clearance would also be preferable and the cheaper the better (sub $500?) Anyone still have these speakers? Any advice on using the monsters with the surrounds and center mentioned? Also, would I be better off just getting the S38's as front and surrounds and selling the 12's?
I currently have a Marantz SR4200 which has no Hdmi and seems pretty under powered.
Thanks for any help.

I've got a denon 1312 that powers them just fine. I went lower for the surrounds and center from the es series. I've seen some denon 1712s going cheap being that they are last year's model
