I purchased monopirce inwall speakers and subwoofer. I didnt realize it needed a power supply. I have a denoan receiver and was told i could take the preamp lfe RCA out to an old receiver input and then wire the sub to the "old receiver" ;s subwoofer speaker port. I tried this, cranked the "old receivers" volume and i could her the passive sub but it was so low volume... is this method not going to work?

MY denoan receiver is aVR1312 and the "old receiver" is sony KR-S330

On a side note, does anyone have any experience or comments on the INFINITY TSS-1200 SUBWOOFER ?

I can't find any info on the Sony receiver but it should power it ok. Maybe your expectations were too high? I would rather have a dedicated amplifier for it.
