FINALLY !! Got my condo board to consider a new TV for our Clubhouse in time for Fall Football.
It's a big room -- maybe 40' by 30' square -- but the couches are mostly 8-10' away from the TV. The rest of the room is empty but a bigger TV will come in handy if we ever put in ping-pong or a pool table in the far corners and folks can more easily see a bigger TV.
The current 42" TV is wall-mounted about 7 feet high at the center of the TV.
We don't game or use it for internet stuff. It's just to watch TV so from my perspective I would rather put whatever scarce resources they approve into an OLDER MODEL that is larger rather than buy a new state-of-the-art that gives us bells-and-whistles that we have no use for.
As I said, I think we want at least 60"...I know the costs increase exponentially once you go above 65".
