Borderlands 2

Steam has their pre-order up today. I ordered my copy immediately.

Who else is getting in on this? It's 10% off for current Borderlands owners and comes with extra content.

Oh and the first game is available on Steam for free this weekend for those of you yet to play it. Hit me up if you want/need a coop buddy. I've played through the game a dozen times and have my character maxed.

Umm, yeah! Why the heck is no one else in here interested in this?

Well you know I am lol.

I already preordered this from GMG for 33% off for ~$36. Supposedly all the issues the first one had with the PC are fixed. We shall see...

That is a great trailer. I love Borderlands 1 and still play it co-op. But even so, I'll wait to see what the general consensus is on B2 before buying it.

Never played the first Borderlands, but I liked a co-op FPS on my console a few years back and this game looks like a good one to scratch that kind of an itch.

Thanks for the suggestion! The $60 game is discounted by at GMG to $50, but they also have a Labor Day weekend sale right now for 25% off all digital games with this code... GMG25-LABOR-DAYGO.

I ordered it right now for $37.50; it is still $60 at Amazon and Steam.

There were lots of bad things about the PC version of B1 (supposedly the main platform, which was clearly a lie). Gamespy use for online play and terrible FOV problems were major no-nos and among the many issues. They released a mea-culpa and supposedly these are all the issues that are now "included" in the PC version of B2:

Kind of sad when they have to advertise these as "extras" what once was routine features for a PC game.rolleyes.gif

Getting it free with my new video card which will arrive on Thursday. I'm playing Borderlands GOTY now, and I'm finally levelling up to where I get some weaponry that actually kills things. cool.gif

Only just now thought about checking AVS for PC related forums. I've, up to now, only focused on speaker/receiver/TV/XBOX/PS3 sections. I'll be in here a little more often now.

Super excited for this game. Got a good deal at newegg for $38 before they raised the price to $60 like everyone else.

Well, you can afford to go that route because you live in California, and everybody who lives there is rich anyway. biggrin.gif

You got it backwards. Everyone in California is broke because it costs so much to live here and everything is expensive. frown.gif

I have an idea on where you are based on your "location" and I think that would be the next state I'd move to.... if I could afford to leave this beautiful state. tongue.gif

Fellow Cali resident here to confirm it'll get worse before it gets better. This state is economically doomed. frown.gif

Well, right now it's raging hot here in D/FW, so bring your swimming pool.

Back on topic sorta (Went back about 3 pages in this forum looking for the first Borderlands thread but couldn't find it). I'm having issues... serious issues, with mouse lag. I'm using a Logitech M310 wireless with my K520 keyboard, and sometimes I can play the game with no issues but other times the game just doesn't respond when I move the mouse. Apologies if this was discussed previously, but in any event is this a known issue? I couldn't find anything on the Borderlands website wrt a patch or s/w update of any kind. I went into the Win7 CP and unchecked the "Enhance Pointer Precision" option but that made no difference. In fact, right now I can't even play it. Restarting the game didn't help either. I have a wired USB mouse and keyboard so I can try that option as well. frown.gif

I played BL several times on my current PC with a wireless Logitech trackball. Zero issues.

Green Man has a nice deal for Borderlands 2 if you don't have a copy yet. Borderlands 2 is 20% off at $47.99. Then you can take an additional 25% off with coupon code GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G which brings the price down to $36! Not bad for a pre-release. Activates on Steam. Coupon is for all games, but BL2 seems like the best deal.

Okay. I'll PM you my mailing address so you can send it to me. biggrin.gif

When I sit the mouse on the coffee table it works fine, so I guess I'm going to have to come up with some new "kluge" to make my HTPC gameplay better. wink.gif

Lol, that's fine.

Heh, it's funny. Last time I was playing Borderlands with other people there was a mention of, "Damn! You're doing all that with a trackball?!" *me wiping out several dozens baddies effortlessly* cool.gif

I will, I've put the zombies on the back burner for now. I've got a few projects on the go I want to finish before I head to Boston next week. There will be to much to play to worry about zombies when I return lol

After looking at the Commando trees though, holy crap, some awesome stuff with the turrets there.
