Borderlands 2 - Page 2

I was a Brock player in the first game. Salvador is not the same. I'm not a huge fan of the other classes. I'm not sure where I'm going to go. Leaning to Maya though. Maybe I'll do a pistol Gunzerker, because I did love pistols. But then again, the new weapon system seems like it may not matter what type of weapon anymore when you get pistols that are used like a grenade.

The 18th is too far away, that's all I know.

I never really liked Brick or the Siren in BL1, but in BL2, the Siren actually looks pretty cool. I'll have to check out the skill trees for the Gunzerker and see if it interests me at all, otherwise I just won't end up playing that class.

Same. Didn't care for them but the characters have been much optimized and improved all around. Now I think I can get a kick out of all of them.

Axton is a 100% first choice for me but the others do have interesting builds.

Alternate Axton build. I think I like this one better:

Hey! You can't do that!!!

How'd you do that???

Character builder has been up this week. It's in post #27 on page one.

Nevermind. redface.gif I thought you had found a way to put Handsome Jack into Axton's suit. That would be bad!

I just realized I won't be getting this game on release day because I ordered it on the cheap from Newegg. This makes me sad. I'm really jonesing for this game.

Should have ordered it from Green Man Gaming, you would have had your key already. I doubt Newegg charged any less for it. I very rarely buy retail anymore unless I get a super deal for something. Too much trouble.

I ordered from GMG but didn't know about the pre-load option. DLoading now, thanks.

I had never heard of green man until I came in this section of the forums last week. I already had the other one ordered. Which I considered a pretty good deal, now that they've raised the price $10. Is the deal at green man still going? I could just cancel my newegg order.
YES! It is still going, until 11pm UTC on the 17th.

Add Borderlands 2 to your cart at $48. then put this code in

GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G

and get 25% off, makes it $36

EDIT: And from what I'm reading, you'll get your key right after purchase to activate on Steam and do the pre-load.
I just did it smile.gif

Had issues paying for it though... It didn't like my debit card and I only have Amex and Discover cards, so I used the same card they didn't like through paypal... I was about to be upset because I was stupid and cancelled my newegg order before I bought it through GMG.

Turns up $2 cheaper than the newegg order, AND I get the premiere club, nice bonus.

Oh right! I still have an extra copy I'm holding for ransom.

But...... nnnaaahhhh. You guys wouldn't be interested in that. tongue.gif

Apparently only get 1 use out of that code, wanted to get the season pass too. I should have kept the newegg and got the seasonpass through GG with that code...

You could use the code once per transaction, so if you bought them in different transactions it worked fine. That code expired, although there is a new 20% off code that's better than nothing: GMG20-AWDF9-Q1PEY

Of course as I was installing my new SSD my PC now refuses to even turn on. So it looks like I'll have to play it on my 6600/295 until I sort it out. Back to the shop my main PC goes!!! D'oh!!!
Two and a half hours to go!!
Went to go get the deal from GMG and all the Borderlands 2 traffic appears to have crashed the site.

Played for nearly 5hrs last night. Lol! Whew.... tired this morning. tongue.gif

As a huge fan of the first all I can say now is it is an all new and improved upon version of the original. If you liked the first you'll love this one.

For some reason .net keeps going through an install whenever I open the game. Then wants me to restart. I just cancel and start the game with no issues though. But I hope I can get this to stop wasting time every time I want to play the game.

Yeah. It's a known issue and hopefully will be fixed or maybe someone has a fix for it. I know I have that issue and I just skip the 'must restart' part with no issues.
I did a Verfiy Integrity early this morning, and ever since, the stupid .net crap hasn't come up.
I'm sure I'll get it at some point. Looks interesting. Does it have the humor the first game had?
Even more so.
One saving grace is that the game runs well on my Q9550/GTX295. LOL. They did little to update the game since B1.

Yes and no. The overall look of the game is about the same but they sure did add a lot of new effects and some modern graphics touches. All that nice DX11 type stuff. Also, my 670GTX would disagree once you've maxed out the Physx. Wow! Now it's a pretty large upgrade graphically from BL1. However, yes, it should run fine on slightly older hardware being pretty much the same engine (Unreal3).
The only issues I've had with the game are the inventory system. I'm not a fan. It's seems more cumbersome than the first game. The trade system, though I never traded in the first game, is a pain to use in this one.
Got this for XBox 360 as well. The PC version blows it away by quite a bit. Playing through the first part of the game, and you really could notice the huge graphical differences between the two. I am playing on a Quad 2 Duo and 560Ti with most everything on high including the Physx and no hiccups at all. Feel free to add me to your friends list on Steam. DiehardcubFN for some coop.
