Public Theater room- Sandbox an Android tablet as Boxee remote

Search the Google Play store for 'parental control'. There are a number of apps out there that allow you to create a 'sandbox' of apps that can be run. I took a quick look, and some will allow you to auto-launch an app.

The ones I looked at aren't completely secure, as they don't replace the launcher, so re-booting the device will give you access to the launcher. You can put a pass code to unlock the device, but then if someone re-boots, the device they won't be able to run the boxxee app. Try them out, I didn't look extensively at them, one of them may suit your needs.

The 'real' way to do this is to write a custom launcher that will auto launch the boxee app, and would only allow access to the android settings through a passcode. You might post a request here;

EDIT: this one is a native launcher designed for parental control, and might do the trick for you..
