TV Headend - Missing TV Adapter (HDHRPrime)

Anyone have any experience w/ HTS-TVHeadend? My Specs:
  • Latest Ubuntu
  • HDHomerun Prime
  • XBMC

So I have MythTV frontend & backend working. But my goal is to get Live TV in XBMC (Mythbox is slow and laggy). So now I'm turning to TVHeadend. Under configuration, nothing shows up under TV adapters. I installed HDHR through Synaptic PKG Manager, can watch tv through the HDHR Gui & Myth, but why is it not listed under TVHeadend?

I did some research and I'm missing the DVB folder, what is this and how do I get my adapters listed into this "DVB" folder?

It has been my experience that if MythTV has been configured to use a capture/tuner card, no other application can access it.

As for the missing /dvb folder. That is created when your system recognises a DVB card, and loads the driver modules. Since HDHomerun is different, I don't believe there are any modules for it.

Based on your statement, I should remove MythTV and look again under TVHeadend... doesn't hurt to try. Hope it works.

last time I looked, the HDHomerun Prime is not supported by TVHeadend.

You are going for the exact config that I plan on trying once I get my HDhomerun. To my knowledge, to use the HDHR or Prime with TVHeadend it must view the card as a dvb source. Here are some relevant links that will hopefully get you setup.

after days and hours and formats and reformats and trying different distributions and headaches, i scrapped this entire plan. Just going to use Windows w/ XBMC and WMC integration. Not ideal, but will work for the time being.
