Folks,
I know this has been asked numerous times before. I have searched and read through most of the threads but the reason I am still posting and asking is to get the most up to date information and suggestions. Some of the threads were a couple years old. So, below are the room dimensions and the TV location. . My BIGGEST issue is the ceiling. It is approximately 18ft at least, if not higher. I would obviously like something that will fill up the space and sound decent as well. The Title referencing BOSE is obviously a joke.
Yes, I am on a relatively limited budget (approx $1000) and would like to get the best bang for the buck as far as speakers go. I would like to stay away from a sub right now, for obvious limited budgetary reasons.
Can I put together a 5.1 system in this budget?
Oh and the TV is 80 inches and mounted on the wall. System will be used for anything and everything (TV, Movies etc)
Appreciate the advice.

Edit: I am currently looking at the Denon 1712 but feel free to suggest alternatives.
