Needed: 5.1 spkr package, matching Onkyo SR706

Have about 1500.00 or so to look at a 5.1 speaker package:

Room : 18 x 26 x 9

Am looking at HSU Hybrid 2 5.1 package so far..


any thoughts?

Those satellites seem to be a bit small for use in a 4200 cubic foot space. You might want to consider towers for the fronts instead.

If you opt to go that route a few potential package options are:

If you want to go separates then matching the Premier Acoustic PA-6F, PA-6C and PA-6B would be a nice system. You could also try using the EMP Tek E5Ti, E5Ci and E5Bi.

That leaves about $700 for a sub, which could buy you something like the Epik Legend, HSU VTF-2 Mk4 or Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX.

2 polk monitor 70's and a Polk cs2/20. Then two hb-1's for surround and a vtf 15h for sub or two vtf 2.4's.

With the sub, I think the HSU package will be fine. How far away do you sit from the speakers?
