What will Plasmas be like in 5 years?

With the Panasonic ST50 out with great picture, what do we think the ST100 equivelency will be?

Do you think it will start to peak? The next years plasma coming in with very little improvements?

We'll probably be seeing the last high-end plasmas ever in about 5 years. They will be marginally better than this year's TVs. Of course, LCDs aren't much improving either. The LCD of 2017 will be (a) not much better than 2012's model and (b) not much different from 2022's.

I would definitely expect 4K sets which should equate to a 4 MP camera, as opposed to the 2MP camera resolution of today's 1080p sets. I can only hope that plasmas will still be around and not killed off to energy saving national legislation.
