if i remember correctly, it was the first team to score 3 "goals" wins. taking that long and that much effort for just the first goal pretty much forced them to make some kind of a deal. needless to say, i don't think that we'll see that challenge again.

I'd guess a single goal would have garnered that team a win .. wink.gif

You are assuming nobody was pushing during the hour?

I'm not. I'm assuming there was force being applied repeatedly and often during the hour -- hence the reason that they were all exhausted. I'm also assuming people were trying to either break the grip being held on them -- or struggling to retain their grip on someone that was trying to get away.

I guess I wasn't the only one cursing the tribe when RC was chosen to sit that one out.

Looks like they've decided to merge a little early since the same team keeps losing.

Loved Jeff calling out Abi(tch) on not participating in challenges ... what a worthless POS... can't wait for her to get voted off....

At least Mike didn't hurt himself and bleed all over tho he did have a massive sunburn on his shoulders.

The editing implied that... suddenly it's an hour later. I figured if there had been some action they would have at least shown us a quick montage of it.

It looked to me that they were locked in a tangle of positions and little, if any, force was actually being applied to moving the ball ..

You didn't see the entire hour.

Watched it from start to finish .. my interpretation of what I saw does not have to equal you'res .. that's why it's called an interpretation .. you saw what you saw, I saw what I saw .. end of story ..

I think he meant the entire hour - of the competition - not the show.

OK, I'll buy that .. I'll make my comment then :

It looked to me that they were locked in a tangle of positions and little, if any, force was actually being applied to moving the ball by the end of the hour of the competion

Once the tribes merge, Abi's ineffectiveness in challenges is no longer a liability. It could even be a strength. She is the number one choice for the non-threat tag along player that often makes it deep. She also has a hidden immunity idol and is the puppet of a real player.

unfortunately......................true

In hindsight... It seems if one could have minimized their participation, exerted less energy or at least enough to stop the opposition from movement... Then when everyone else was exhausted, that one who was conservative could have just heaved it on their own... Of course easier said than done looking in from out

Abi=troll
Not a very attractive bunch outside of the body of RC... Considering it seemed more "attractive" people were selected in the past

I wondered if after watching a stalemate for awhile, maybe Jeff P. put the bug in their ear about negotiating a settlement?

So did I, or since I don't remember it having ever been done before, maybe someone asked Jeff.

Probst: "In this case, the deal actually saved us because that challenge was going to take a long, long, long time to finish due to the amount of mud. I was concerned nobody would ever score and we’d have to result to a tie breaker."

The only thing I wanted to see, that I didn't, was Jeff asking both tribes when they got back together for a show of hands from those that thought the deal was a bad idea.

From the "Previously on survivor" it was a no-brainer what we were going to see.
It was meant this way, to say to housewives "Hey watch this episode! A young hot useless girl will be voted out!" . mad.gif

They don't care about us, we will watch it anyway! Their target group is middle-aged housewives.

By the way.....

"RC talking to Michael? Again? These two are getting close and we all know how powerful a couple can be in survivor. We have to break them! RC is a huge threat and has to go now!!" biggrin.gif

Just teasing RC funs!!! biggrin.gif

The editing used to be a little more elegant. Now they just flat out edit to show everything indicating that the incorrect person is going to be voted out. That has made this season's tribal councils the most predictable ever.

"Oooooh... the humanity . . ."

The scenery just got a lot less interesting. mad.gif

So did Genner (sp?) need to use his immunity idol? Couldn't tell if he had enough votes against him that he needed to use it or not.

Do you think they will put another idol into play?
If I'm not mistaken, Penner got 5 votes, RC got 4 and Pete got 2 votes.

Now that RC's gone, the only women left are Abi, "Blair" and that woman who looks like Willem Dafoe? This season is ruined.

I think you mean Jonathan Penner. Yes, he used his immunity idol. When Jeff Probst announced, "If anyone has an immunity idol and wishes to use it, now would be the time," Penner stepped up and handed the idol to Jeff. It's a good thing he did or he would have been voted out rather than R.C.
