If there is anything I should read that would help me understand this software and equipment I would appreciate a link or two.
Another question I have is how does Auto Cal work?
Thanks for the help in advance. I am not in a hurry as I just bought this TV and want to put some hours on it first so it can even out.
If you are looking at Calman.
Take a look at this link to see what version of Calman can and can't do.
To start out I would think a C3 or I1display oem meter and Calman Control software that seems to include autocal. Also make sure that whatever version of CM you like supports your ISF controls In your VT50 and supports auto cal.
When using Auto Cal, you first want enter in your basic settings for the ISF mode you are using. See picture below.
From there you would go to RGB ballance (grayscale) and run a 10 point auto cal, from there you would go to CMS and run a autocal CMS.
This is a basic workflow, however for you just follow Calmans pages when using auto cal and those pages will tell you what to do.
