CalMan 5 Release Notes and Discussion - Page 64

Tried LS - definitely NOT user friendly unless you've been out and about the calibrating field for awhile! Another words, Pros, or near pros.
For the amateur, to semi-professional, to the full professional Calman will do the job for probably 90% of the Calibrations that need to be done.
I've input ideas, seen some implemented, quite a few hair brained ideas rejected, but my LG 55LHX has continued to improve with newer Calmans, some of my out of the box ideas, and still after 3 years, I still prefer to watch, and improve!
Even my last weird idea for calibrating these sets caught my wife's eye, and I got a `You're finally getting it dear!' Never seen these sets look this good!
Had to love (not) Calman 3, and trying to get those dang points to align properly! Then 4, and a sigh of relief, and now the continuing to improve 5.
You can almost feel the itchy calibrators just waiting to try that next new Beta, and the postings of when the next will be out. Haven't seen that with either LS or CM!

Lumagen Radiance XE/XE+/XE3D/XE/XE+/XE3D/Mini-3D/XD/XD3D + Radiance 20XX Series (2021, 2022, 2041, 2042) New 120213 Firmware Update

Release Notes

Fixed up an older bug (recently made worse in 112513) which depending on equipment and settings could intermittently (or regularly) result in delaying turn-on of video output. Could be double normal output turn-on time and feasibly even longer.

Bugfix for issue created in 112513 release causing an output to not turn on if only one output is connected.

Never noticed it. I guess because one output goes to the Halite, and the other the my Yamaha AVR. Will install the new download anyways.

Note: Shut your AVR Off before starting the FW Upgrade, elsewise the update may not complete.

Something I've been wanting to ask about Calman 5.

In Chromapure, when using an i1pro2, you don't have various "display type" options to select.

In Calman, you do. There's an option for plasma.

Does the option feature actually do anything with an i1pro2 or is it just there due to needing it available for color meters that rely on tables?

No, it doesn't matter what display type you will select, exept if you need to take Illuminance readings (labeled as Facing Projector options) where you will have to attach your i1PRO diffuser for that.

ConnecTEDDD - you're stammering! All your various posts are double posting! Don't know which Web Browser you're using, but you're going to have to switch to Apple Safari, or Google Chrome. Mozilla FireFox - stay away from - too many security issues.

Hello, they are not the same posts, Lumagen has released the firmware update for Radiance Series only, but after 10-12 hours they released the same firmware for Lumagen Radiance 20xx Series users. This is the reason you see double posts, first post was to inform the Lumagen Radience users, second post for Radiance 20xx users. Lumagen has slight difference release notes as you can see, but mainly it fixes the same issues.

CalMAN 5.2.1 is ready now but we are under NDA with one of the features added. As soon as the NDA has been lifted we will make 5.2.1 public.

Hello, yes you can.

CalMAN Enthusiast is also the only home video software from SpectraCal that includes CalMAN RGB - the latest in monitor calibration software for Mac and PC computers.

SpectraCAL's CalMAN Comparison Chart says that you get 2 client licencies.

We are looking at CalMAN 5.2.2 on Friday
What will be in 5.2.1 and 5.2.2 besides a special surprise that was the reason for the NDA?

What or who is the NDA?
Thought I read here they were waiting to release the new version until some non disclosure clause was lifted...?
I believe we are licensing out the support for the offending hardware.

Hopefully we will have a release out in the near future, not today.
So here is the plan. We did not want to hold up the release any longer for the NDA. So we are going to split the release into two.

CalMAN 5.2.2 later this week, is mostly bug fixes and some minor updates. CalMAN 5.2.2 will be the last release to support Windows XP.
CalMAN 5.3 will be mid Jan includes significant updates.
does any of the 2 releases include the Eizo calibration ?
