Joel,
Any timeline on the Autocal for the new JVC X95/RS66/X75/RS56 projectors? I have about 50hrs on the bulb now! smile.gif

Nothing I can share.

We do plan to support then as quickly as we can, but I can't comment on the specifics of that.

Thanks Joel,
This is my first display that is capable of the autocal process and since I have Calman5 / C-6 / i1Pro / DPG-2000 I'm looking forward to the autocal feature being released. smile.gif

Joel, any ideas on how to stabilize my readings at 90% white on my Panny GT50 with an i1d3? I've tried all 3 sync modes and nothing seems to cure the rgb readings going up and down without me changing anything on the display/in the room.

How big of a pattern window are you using?
The larger APL windows on the AVS709 disc.

FYI, I had the same issue on our 55GT50 when I inadvertently used 18% windows, and it seemed to be much better when I switched to small (10%) windows.

Just wondering what the turn around time is for receiving a license key after ordering? I couldn't hold back and decided to purchase CalMan today instead of next Saturday. Was hoping to get my key sometime this weekend, but I suppose most likely I won't get it until next week sometime if they are manually generated.

Thanks in advance for the information!

Turnaround time for the key to be sent is fast. But this being the weekend sometime Monday is probably a realistic expectation.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but in CalMAN 5 how would I know when my 100% white field reads 30-35 fL. I did not notice anything in Basic Tutorial or higher. I'm using an i1Display Pro meter.

I believe thats in the set dynamic range step

Tried smaller window sizes and it's ok if I leave the pattern on for a while, but during a grayscale sweep the variances in luminance are ridiculous for anything above 50% White. I'm getting so frustrated; kind of wish I didn't fork out on Calman Control and the i1D3 now, as I can't get any stable enough results to make me certain that the tweaks I'm making are making the image more accurate.

A random question! I got my key yesterday and started playing around with CalMAN. I've only got the v5 Basic, so this is probably a step-up feature, but I was wondering if there is a way to show more detailed information about your reading while taking them?

I'm curious to know the x, and y and Y information about my color readings... That information was right in your face with ColorHCFR, but I suppose it's repressed in CalMAN Basic due to it most likely confusing users.
Try using the Quick Analysis workflow, it's much more numbers orientated.
Thanks! I will give it a whirl when I get home. smile.gif

I'm having an issue where Calman will lag very badly, on top of not displaying any results when taking readings on the more advanced screens (greyscale, CMS calibration etc) until I completely restart my computer. Are there any programs that might cause this? My windows install is pretty fresh, so I'm not sure what would be doing it. It isn't something that will start happening in the middle of a session, it's just something that Calman does when I run it if my computer has been on for a day or longer.

Are you using an X-Rite meter? If you had installed the X-Rite/i1 software before Calman, you may try uninstalling it. I remember there being a driver issue or a startup service issue with i1 software and Calman.
Yes, it's an i1D3. I did have the i1profiler software installed at one point, but I uninstalled it a couple of weeks ago. There isn't any x-rite software showing up in the uninstall programs list.

It seems to be mostly interface related. For example; there is no CIE 1931 chart on the CMS page, it just shows the target boxes. If I take readings, nothing appears to happen, but If I go back a page and come back to it, it shows some of the readings (just the numbers, nothing graphical). Also, while I'm able to pull down the menus from the top, it won't let me select or change anything.

I actually have the same problem with CalMAN 5 and my i1D3. I thought it was just a glitch and not important, since my Sony doesn't have a CMS anyway, I didn't care about it.

It was funny to take the reading and have nothing show up in the chart, though.

I have the same exact problem with the lag too. If CalMAN 5 starts lagging severely, I just close up the program and go back in. Then it's OK.

I also did have the X-Rite software installed then uninstalled it when I read ColorHCFR didn't need drivers. (I used to use ColorHCFR until I got CalMAN going on Sunday. But the X-Rite stuff has been uninstalled for a week. ACTUALLY, now that I'm thinking about it... during the CalMAN installation, I got a prompt about installing some X-Rite software. I answered yes to it since I thought it was CalMAN related. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?)

Went to the SpectraCAL forums and it looks like someone else had a similar problem too: http://www.spectracal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=4462

He is using an i1 Display Pro and an i1 Pro Spectro. *shrug*

FYI, I had similar odd behavior when I first installed CalMan 5, and Joel recommended that I install Microsoft .NET 4.5. This fixed the issue and CalMan 5 has been very stable since. Apparently, there are some bugs in .NET 4.0.

This is what I was going to say.

.NET 4.5 seems to have done the trick. Calman is already working correctly and I haven't even restarted my computer yet. Thanks for the help guys.
Wonderful, I'm going to try that too. Haha!

Thanks to all!

Two issues I can't seem to resolve with Calman5 Control ( very much a newbie here) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Running Calman5 Control Version 5.0.4 on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 w/ Service Pack 1 with .NET Framework 4.5

1. Can't generate a calibration report after running autocal calibration. I can go back and load the workflow of a completed/saved calibration and then see the report in the workflow but when I try to generate the report I get a blank page with a blue border and the report never populates.

2. Can't delete old calibrations series from Calman5 software. I can go directly to the Win7 directory and delete the files but the series titles remain in the Calman5 software. How do I delete saved calibration series using Calman5 software menu?

1. Is this with all workflows or a particular one?

2. The saved calibration titles shown from within CalMAN cannot be deleted at this time. This is a known issue.

Hello. This pertains to advanced workflows I haven't tried to save any reports from the other workflows yet.

Did you hit "generate report". It seems that I have to do that to get the meter and pattern generator to populate. Maybe this will properly populate the report. I had it work yesterday.
Hello. Yes. I tried generate report, print report etc. none of these functions work for me. All i get is a blank Screen. I then have to back out and restart the workflow session, then tab through the workflow to get to the report inside the workflow.
