Need Help Installing Direct TV Box to Receiver/Tuner/DVD Player with Martin Ash Surround Speaker...

I have a 52 in. Samsung TV with multiple connections in the back. I have a Direct TV sattelite box and I have a Receiver/Tuner/DVD Player with Martin Ash 698S surround speaker system. I need to hook all three together but am not sure how to do that. Can someone please give me specific hook up instructions? I am a bit challenged in this area so the more detail I can get the better. Thanks!

If the receiver has HDMI switching, run HDMI from the DirecTV box to the receiver, then HDMI from the receiver to the TV.

If the receiver doesn't have HDMI inputs, run HDMI from the DirecTV box to the TV, and an optical digital audio cable to the receiver. You'll get surround sound from DirecTV that way.

If you don't have HDMI cables, Monoprice.com is your friend. Don't pay more than $8 for an HDMI cable 6ft or shorter...

If you can tell us the make/model of the receiver, we'll be able to provide more specific guidance.

Sorry to give you bad news but Martin Ash is a "White Van Scam" product. I hop you did not get taken for to much money.
