Pioneer PC control

This may be an easy question, but Is there a way to operate Pioneer receivers from a PC? I have a VSX-60. I know that there's an app to control from iphone/ipad but want to know if I can control from my laptop as well.

Anyone know if this is possible?

The VSX60 does have a rear panel RS232 serial port for control..
Usually these are for some of the custom controllers available like from Crestron
You should check with Pioneer support and check if they will supply the codes for PC control...

Just my $0.02... wink.gif

I know this is old but I was looking for this too. One option you have is to use a virtual machine to run android on your PC this will allow you to use any android app. I have used this to control my harmony link from my PC. One fairly easy to install VM is blue stacks, but it is rather annoying with ads and only worked right one 1 of 2 machines. Given the correct network settings and no silly behavior from the receiver software engineers I would think you could get this working.
