Anyone used Carnegie Fabrics Xorel fabric?

I came across this googling for acoustically transparent fabrics that had a pattern on them. It's a fabric called Xorel and the manufacturer claims it is acoustically transparent but I can't seem to find any acoustic testing information on it. Has anyone used this or tested a sample for transparency?

Hmmm, I wonder how that compares to GoM?

The closest thing I could find to an ASTM C 423 test for GoM was this: http://www.fabritrak.com/acoustic/1-2InchFabriTackwithFabric.pdf

I haven't looked into the price. I wanted to try to determine if it was actually useable first.

The particular Xorel style I liked was called Damask. That one doesn't appear to be one of the ones listed in their test results. I might see if I can get a sample of it. I could at least do the blow test.

The prices are all listed. There is also a pdf price list download.

The cheapest is about double FR701, and the most expensive over $100/yard. Plus $3 per yard cutting charge??? They only have to cut once. It is ridiculous to have a cut charge per yard at 10% of the total cost.

There are GOM fabrics with patterns

Many of the GOM with patterns listed in their "Acoustics" section are far from transparent. The 701 is terrific, but most of the rest are not.
