Narrowed down to 4

Hi All,
I need to replace my Onkyo 605, and I've done a lot of research and have the list down to 4 models:

Yamaha RX-V673BL
Denon AVR1913
Pioneer VSX-1122-K
Sony STRDH830

They all seem to have similar features and specs, and they all have desirable aspects to them. I will be using it for HT as well as music. I know people have their brand preferences, but does any one of these stand out in a way that I am missing? Why does the Sony look similar on paper, but is significantly less expensive than the others?

Any help that can be provided will be much appreciated. This has always been a great resource. Thanks.

Any of them, except the sony, is fine. Sony has fallen way behind their competitors in recent years. I would personally go with the denon for audyssey, but would be happy with any of them.

I'd suggest passing on the Sony as well .. choosing one of the remaining 3, although keeping in mind if you have a subwoofer in the setup, the Denon will be the only model that can EQ the subwoofer using Audyssey MultEQ.

I would not consider an AVR without Audyssey. That narrows your choices considerably smile.gif

Thanks for the opinions. My Onkyo had Audyssey, and I was impressed with it.
