Sharp in Trouble?

I read in the Wall Street Journal that Sharp is in deep do-do financially. They are laying off 5000 people and shutting down their consumer group. I wonder what that portends for projectors? There's a lot of them out there.

What might this imply for Pioneer? The two companies are sharing a lot. Current generation Pioneer Blu-ray players are rebadged Sharp players, for example.
