Panasonic TH42PH9 Half picture, please HELP!

Hello all,

I got a Panasonic TH42PH9 with only the right side is working.
The left side has part white part black

(not my plasma but exeactly the same problem)

I checked the ribbons they seem to be Ok.
maybe the T con/D board is broken?

Any one have some advise?

This thread shows the same symptom as your set. One solution mentioned was replacing one of the C-boards.

Your set only has 2 C-boards, where each one controls half the screen. According to the service manual, the board that affects your half of the screen that is defective is the C1-board.

You said you checked the ribbon cables. You might want to recheck the ribbon cable between the D-board and the C1-board (connectors D31 & C11). If that doesn't solve the problem, your cheapest option would be to try to replace the C1-board first, before attempting to replace the D-board.
