Micro Center is evidently in the process of selling off and dropping from its inventory all Sandy Bridge i3, i5 and i7 cpus. Yesterday many of the stores listed as out of stock the $89.99 i3-2100; today it's not even on their website.
And today they have cut the price of the i5-2500K another $10 to $159.99, which is often what they do when they are starting to sell them off. (They did the same thing when they cut the price of the i5-2400 just prior to dropping it completely, and I'm still kicking myself for missing out on that deal.)
So I don't have any inside info, but it looks to me like you'd better hustle down to your local Micro Center if you want any of these Sandy Bridge cputs.
Considering that Newegg sells the i3-2125 for that same $159.99, getting the top-of-the-line Sandy Bridge i5 (complete with HD3000 graphics, as is the 2125) for the same price is a steal.
The i5-2500K is a heck of a good CPU by the way for almost any purpose.
