Without an actual app, is there any way to get a homepage shortcut with an AVS icon on Android?

Bookmark it in the browser. Then add shortcut to the home screen (push and hold in an empty area on the screen until the option shows up). One of the shortcut choices is bookmark.

Yeah, I've done that. But I'd like the icon to be the AVS icon. I know on iPhones, a site can give a 'web app' that will add it to the homescreen with an icon, and will seem like a native app, but is really just the site opening in the browser. I guess for a no cost solution, AVS could publish an android 'app' that all it does it put an icon on that just opens the mobile site.

As mentioned, no app needed. You can put a bookmark URL on the desktop that will be an icon like an app that will just open the AVS URL in your browser when pressed. All I did was opened the browser, went to avsforum.com and then clicked MENU and used ADD. It then opened and asked Add Bookmark or Home Screen and I said HOME Screen. Poof, it was their.

Yeah, I've done that, but on my particular flavor of android (HTC Sense), I just get a generic bookmark icon, it doesn't pull in the favicon. I'm sure many people go to the app store to look for just about everything, and a simple app for a url would be very easy to create.

Love the Mobile site. The full site was unbearable on my 4th Gen touch.

I've been checking on and off for the last couple years for Tapatalk integration. Today to my surprise it finally came up. Thank you so much for adding AVS to the Tapatalk platform. I decided to check because I noticed the new mobile site. Great work on that too.

60% of the time it works every time!

Two updates I'd like to see:
1. A dark mobile theme
2. Via the desktop, the ability to type in a page number to jump to that page (maybe there is a way and I've not found it).
