Hummm ok. Everytime I've heard it talked about on the other home theater forums people say it needs a huge box to sound right. Ive heard numbers as high as 20 sq ft. The guy I bought it from had it in an 11 sq ft box though.
The previous version IIRC needed a much bigger box, but as the current design stands now, you can stuff it in a much smaller box than previously. Perhaps just a bit more power, but in my experience, limiting the excursion via box size and adding some more power is a win win with space limitations. I was previously looking at an 8 q18's setup where each box was about 8 cuft for a PAIR. WinISD confirmed this was great option with ample power. I think I was looking at doing a LG 10000Q with a pair per channel. Ill try and find the graph that Scott Simonian drew up comparing that to some other similar options, but it was only for 4 fi Q's. I will say for sure they modeled very well in that small of a box, you just couldnt hit em with only 200 watts, it was a shade more than that
