Pioneer 1121k or 1122k Looking for help with a question

Hi,

I'm new here. I'm looking for a pioneer receiver that has air play, sirius, 24 bit file capability preferably by usb so I can hook up a hard drive to play HI res files, and is THX certified. I'm also on a budget so the 1122k looks good but it isn't THX certified. It doesn't have THX sound profiles. Is there anyway to calibrate the receiver to THX specifications using some other method or because it's not certified it can't be done? I'm a big movie fan and I do trust their expertise. The other option is to get the 1121k which is THX certified but I don't think has the Hi res usb port to play 24bit files off a hard drive. Is there anyway to get 24bit files to play off a hard drive connected to that receiver. I have a mac and I know air play down converts 24bit wirelessly so I figure I'd have to have a connected device. Thanks for in advance for any help I appreciate it:-)

The 1122 is actually a step down from the 1121, so if you can still find one pick up the 1121 but it does not have the 24bit USB feature.

The 1122 loses the THX modes, 7.1 preouts for external amp connectivity, has less power 90W vs 110W, and about 8lbs in weight. 1121 also adds audio and video in zone 2. 1122 only supports audio.
I think the MSRP is about $200 less for the 1122.

The Pioneer 1121 was such a good value it is about sold out. Open box $400 at a few sites and $700 new at Amazon. I paid $430 shipped & CA sales tax from Newegg 5 months ago. It is sold out there. The 1122 has way less connections and less power also. THX is nice but expensive. Airplay works great with a wired connection and high bitrate mp3's. I suspect these are 16 bit? The 1122 compares to the 1021 actually.

Thanks for the advice. I guess it's either the THX certification or the 24bit usb connection on a new pioneer. It doesn't look like I can afford to buy an elite with both.
