I am looking for a TV for my bedroom. I want to spend around $600. I am looking for 1080p and would also like to know on these smaller TVs if the refresh rate matters? I would like at least 120hz if it does matter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Samsung LN40D630: $550 at Amazon

40" 1080p 120Hz CCFL-LCD

It should have far deeper blacks than the LG (especially if you get the LG with the IPS panel).

Just wondering where you see $550?

A 60hz maybe OK for a secondary/bedroom TV like these 1080p models:
Samsung UN32EH5000 at amazon: $424
Samsung UN37EH5000 at amazon: $498
Samsung UN40EH5000 at amazon: $573

The smallest 120hz 1080p Samsung is a 40" if you prefer that, just under $600:
Samsung UN40EH6000 at amazon: $595

I bought a Samsung LN40E550 a couple of weeks ago for a bedroom set. Cost $448 at WM. I've watched the Olympics various shows using a Cisco HD dct. watched a preseason football game last night and Bourne Supremacy on BRD via PS3. Ive also played some games on the tv. Other than the limited adjustment options in the menu i've found nothing to complain about Tv handles motion very well and has a great picture.
I have noticed no screen issues the blacks are not as deep as my D8000 but for a bedroom and at that price I'm well pleased.

When I go to amazon for the samsung UN40EH6000 I do not see $595, I see "While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here.

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."

I think I would like to pick up this TV, if I can get if for under $600 that would be great. Any other suggestions would still be appreciated. Thanks for all the help.
