hey guys, so as u know the SR707 is NOT a 3D Receiver, what are my options for playing 3D and getting sound out of my Onkyo SR 707? Is my only option to sell the SR707 and get one of the new 3D Capable Onkyos?

Does your blu-ray player by any chance have dual output? If so, you can route one to the TV and the other to your AVR.

i have a PS3 which doesn't have that im pretty sure,

does this blu ray player have that feature: http://www.abt.com/product/59689/Samsung-BDE5900.html ?

No, that one says it only has one HDMI output. These players were built in 2011 when AVRs had not yet fully caught up to 3-D so most of the units are discontinued and the new ones are back to one HDMI output. This is the type of box you are looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-BDT310-Integrated-Wi-Fi-Blu-ray-Player/dp/B004LNOSQO/ref=sr_1_1?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1344569049&sr=1-1&keywords=Panasonic+310

If you look at their specs, you see 2 HDMI output ports which is what you want. Looking at what is still current (beside Oppo which is expensive) I found this Penny: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-BDT500-Integrated-Blu-ray-Player/dp/B00752R4QO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1344569254&sr=1-1&keywords=DMP-BDT500

You have to think if is worth putting $220 toward this box vs getting a new AVR smile.gif.

Assuming your AVR has assignable inputs, your other option is running HDMI direct to your tv from the PS3 and optical (or digital coax) from the PS3 to your AVR (you'll also need to change the settings in the PS3). I did this at first but eventually got a newer receiver...
