I am very new to this whole media thing. I just bought new home which has 2 rooms prewired for 5.1 speaker. One is family room with high ceiling and open space to kitchen etc. and another is fairly large media room with window and step added to room.

Pre-existing
Family Room
- Wired for 5.1 speaker as well as 2 outdoor patio speakers.
- Size 15Lx20Wx20H with opening towards kitchen and dining.

Media Room
- Wired for 5.1
- Size 20Lx15Wx10H
- All speaker and receiver wiring ends at back right wall in order to have smaller size HDMI to projector.
- Window due to front wall (HOA restriction), planning to put heady curtain.
- DIsh connetion for 2 room with primary HD receiver in media.

Confusion -
Family
- Which reciver good with 2 zone to support outside and inside speaker independent.
- Which in-wall speaker and central speaker (I would go with 100 watt).
- I would like to have network (or wifi) capability in receiver.
- Does subwoofer have to be same watt as speakers?

Media Room
- Which receiver (3D and network/wifi)
- Which projector (3D support)
- Which screen (3D support)
- Speaker brand for in-ceiling (100 watt)?

Thanks very much. I think it's an easy DIY once I know what to put but please suggest if I need to hire professionals.

Thanks again.
