Opinions or options running wireless rear speakers

So my woman is putting up a fuss about running speaker wire for rears so was wondering if anyone is has any experience using wireless speakers/technology.

Is it worth the money? Better to stay with 3.1? Suggested equipment?

Any suggestions would be appreciated (minus getting a different woman biggrin.gif )

Can you run the wires in the walls, under the house and up through the flooring, behind the entertainment credenza?

In theory that would only be possible on one of the sides. I'm not very handy and she'd give me a ton of .... for even trying to do it myself. My only option would be to hire someone.

Short of making your wife run the cables or hiring someone else to run the wires, I got nothing as even wireless speakers need to be plugged into a wall socket for power.
